Portfolio Project - Calory Intake Calculator in Looker Studio
This was a fun portfolio project created entirely in Looker Studio, using no outside data sources. (It's connected to a single, empty data source, as Looker Studio necessitates it.) It relies entirely on user input using parameters, and using these values in calculated fields calculate your results, and returning them using scorecards. The dynamic text beneath the scorecards are also scorecards with their borders removed, so as to blend in with the text.
The calculations are based on the Mifflin-St. Jeor formula and the Katch-McArdle multipliers, which are predictive numbers for basal energy expenditure in healthy individuals.
